Join us! Our 14th Annual Member Meeting and Awards Ceremony  This event is free and open to the public. Register here. The event will be on Wednesday, April 26th from 7 pm to 8:30 pm.Our guest speaker – joining us via a video from Croatia – will be Sonja Novkovic (pictured above), who will speak about the Co-op Lifecycle Framework VAWC has been using to support its members. Dr. Novkovic (Ph.D., McGill University) is a Professor of Economics and Academic Director of the International Centre for Co-operative Management at Saint Mary’s University in Halifax, Canada. She is Chair of the International Cooperative Alliance’s Research Committee, and past president of the International Association for the Economics of Participation (IAFEP).We will also hear from VAWC Member Flat Iron Coffeehouse about their Table 7 program making food available to those who are food insecure. Finally, we will give out our 2023 VAWC Awards for the year, including the ‘Jesse Owens’ Fastest VAWC Payment Award, the ‘Emilia Romagna’ Cross Sector Collaboration Award and the ‘Julie Graham’ Solidarity and Culture of Enjoyment Award. |
